The Macfarlane lab is looking for talented researchers interested in the scientific projects and research
themes mentioned in the research description. Graduate students who have been admitted to MIT in the
departments of Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or any other scientific discipline
interested in these areas are encouraged to contact Rob by email. (Please note that all students must
apply to those programs directly for admittance to MIT first before joining any research lab.)
Post-Doctoral Researchers
Information for Post-Doctoral Researchers:
The Macfarlane lab is accepting applications from talented postdocs with experience in polymer synthesis
and polymer engineering, inorganic nanoparticle synthesis, DNA nanotechnology, or related fields. Interested
applicants should send the following materials to rmacfarl@mit.edu:
- Curriculum Vitae (including complete list of publications)
- Brief (1-2 pg.) statement of past research experience and research interests in the Macfarlane Lab
In addition, applicants should be prepared to obtain 3 letters of recommendation upon request.
